The job

Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Inspect pregnant livestock for illness/injury, Treat sick/injured pregnant livestock, Move pregnant livestock to calving facility, Prepare pregnant livestock for calving, Assist with calving, Tend to livestock after calving, Move livestock to appropriate facilities after calving, Inspect calves for illness/injury, Treat sick/injured calves, Provide calves with colostrum, Order feed, Retrieve feed from storage, Prepare feed and mix in additives, Deliver feed to livestock facilities, Give feed to livestock, Check feed equipment, Clean/maintain feed equipment, Place mineral blocks, Inspect water sources/equipment, Break/melt/remove ice from water, Clean/maintain/repair water systems, Deliver water to livestock facilities, Give water to livestock, Inspect livestock for illnesses and injuries, Separate sick livestock from the herd, Move sick/injured livestock to treatment area, Administer medications/injury care, Administer vaccinations, Shovel away snow by hand, Prepare snow removal equipment, Clear snow from facilities, Monitor livestock temperatures, Confine livestock to stalls, Groom livestock, Herd livestock, Brand livestock, Castrate livestock, Weigh livestock, Spray livestock with insecticide, Protect livestock from predators, Inspect pens/stables, Collect and remove manure, Clean/disinfect pens/stables, Remove dead livestock, Prepare dead livestock for burial, Bury dead livestock, Remove old bedding, Prepare new bedding, Distribute bedding, Receive new livestock, Vaccinate/treat new livestock, Brand new livestock, Clean the receiving area, Maintain livestock equipment, Transport cattle to pastures, Construct windbreaks for livestock, Maintain breeding, feeding, and cost records, Prepare livestock for market, Prepare documentation to sell livestock. Drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.

Livestock: Beef CattleFarming with: Corn, Peanuts, Silage, Winter Wheat, Beef Cattle, Beef Cattle. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
