The job
The Section Grower is responsible for the care and maintenance of plants within a designated area of greenhouse space. They will perform various operational and grower tasks to ensure the effective operation of the growing facility by following prescribed schedules, operating policies and procedures.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. Workers will buy their own groceries. Once a week the employers will offer to provide (on a voluntary basis by the workers) free transportation to assure workers access to the closest store where they can purchase groceries.
Transport: The employer will provide advance transportation for reasonable common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the ICC inbound transportation. If not the prevailing practice, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation costs and subsistence to the employer’s work site when the worker completes 50% of the work period.
