These duties also include digging and maintaining trenches, drainage ditches, irrigation channels, and water management systems; installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation lines and drainage systems; assisting with planting, cultivating, fertilizing, irrigating, and harvesting crops; preparing fields, clearing debris, and maintaining agricultural land; operating tractors, agricultural implements, mowers, loaders, and other farm machinery when properly trained; performing routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on tractors, farm implements, irrigation pumps, trailers, and other equipment, including replacing worn parts, lubricating machinery, and changing fluids; maintaining farm roads, drainage areas, fence lines, gates, and agricultural property; loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing agricultural supplies, seed, fertilizer, tools, and equipment; performing general manual labor such as digging, shoveling, clearing brush, removing debris, and moving materials; preparing, cleaning, inspecting, and storing equipment for planting and harvesting seasons; and performing other agricultural duties directly related to crop production and farm maintenance as assigned.
