The job
Drive farm grain trucks to haul the employer’s own stored crops from on-farm bins to designated elevators and buyers during the winter delivery period. The employer stores grain after harvest to seek more favorable market prices, creating a temporary need for loading and hauling during the requested employment period.
Follow routes, delivery schedules, and loading instructions provided by the employer. Position trucks for loading and unloading, operate tarps and grain hopper doors, secure loads, and return scale and delivery tickets. Assist with loading and unloading grain, sweep spilled grain, and clean trucks, trailers, and loading areas.
Perform basic vehicle safety checks as instructed and promptly report mechanical problems to the supervisor. Duties are routine and performed under close supervision. The employer provides on-the-job training in equipment operation, assigned routes, loading procedures, and safe work practices. No supervisory duties or advanced mechanical repairs are required.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities for meal preparation. Workers will buy their own groceries. Once a week the employers will offer to provide (on a voluntary basis by the workers) free transportation to assure workers access to the closest store where they can purchase groceries.
Transport: The employer will provide advance transportation for reasonable common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) inbound transportation.

To comply with Federal, State and County regulations must be willing to obtain an appropriate driver's license (class D) within two months of employment. If applicant does have a license, applicant must furnish employer with current drivers abstract showing acceptable driving record.
